Bret Harte Frogtown Invitational Cross-Country Meet

The meet will be held on Sat,
9/22 at the Frogtown Subsection Course located
at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds off Hwy 49, 2 miles south of Angels
Camp.
Come in uniform as there are limited facilities for dressing at Frogtown.
All schools
must register at the stage at Frogtown upon arrival
and receive
their computerized labels. Busses and cars should be parked in the large
parking
lot before entering the fairgrounds proper.
No cars other than race officials will
be allowed in the fairgrounds.

10:15 Junior Varsity Boys 3 Mile JV races are for juniors and seniors not on
10:45 Junior Varsity Girls 2 Mile the top 7 (Varsity). You must enter a
11:00 Varsity Girls 3 Mile Varsity team before fielding a JV squad.

Small schools have an enrollment of 1,250 students or less
in 4 years. If you
are an all boys/girls school, double your enrollment.
The subsection course will be run and maps of the course
will be provided on
the day of the meet. There will be a
modification to the course this year due
to a concurrent activity planned for the same date.
Team – 1st, 2nd, 3rd place teams in varsity boys and girls and Fr–So Girls.
1st and 2nd teams in soph and freshman boys
Individuals – 1 through 15 excluding those on winning teams.
1 through 20 for individuals on JV boys and girls, no team awards.
Team – 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place teams for varsity boys and girls.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for all other teams except frosh girls and JV teams.
1st and 2nd place for frosh girls.
Individuals – 1 through 15 excluding those on winning teams.
1 through 25 for individuals on JV boys and girls, no team awards.
Each runner will wear a computerized sticker, which will be
taken off in the
finish chute. Please do not attempt to
hand out stickers in the chute.
The CIF rules will apply as stated in the cross-country handbook.
An entry fee of $6.00 per athlete will be
assessed. There is a maximum fee of
$160.00 and a minimum fee of $40.00 for each school. A $10.00 late fee will be
assessed if entries are not received by Mon, 9/18. No refunds will be given on race
day.
