Hennessy Wins Third Straight State Mile Title; Nina Kyei-Aboagye Wins Sprint Double Again; Amar Skeete Jumps US#7 51-2 In TJ

Abigail Hennessy of Westford Academy left her mark on the Massachusetts Meet of Champions on June 6 when she won the mile in 4:42.58. It was her third consecutive state championship in the mile and came two weeks before lowering her all-time Massachusetts record 4:33.18 for second place at New Balance Nationals Outdoor. 

Nina Kyei-Aboagye of Sharon won the 100-200 sprint double for the second year in a row with times of 11.83 seconds and 23.56. She won the 200 for the third consecutive year. 

Amar Skeete from Catholic Memorial, a junior, broke his all-time Massachusetts record in the triple jump with US#7 51-2. He went on to win the New Balance Nationals Outdoor title as well. 

Chloe Elder from Natick, already the second-fastest 400-meter runner in state history, won the state title in a time of 53.96 seconds. 

Ryan Pulpi of Reading Memorial won a pair of state titles by running 21,06 in the 200 meters final and 47.33 seconds in the 400 meters. 

Alex Todorov of Xaverian Brothers won the 100 meters title in 10.62.

In the boys 800 meters, Harry Flint of Brookline defeated Michael Mohoric of Newburyport, 1:50.33 to 1:52.41. He also helped Brookline win the 4x800 relay.

Mohoric won the mile in a personal best of 4:07.37. 

Nicholas Askjaer from Cohasset won the shot put with 61-7 and the discus with a personal best 187-1.
