Brannon Kidder Runs PR 3:33.47 To Win 1,500 Meters

Brandon Miller got in some speed work with a fast 600 meters to close out a late-season domestic racing opportunity at the Stumptown Twilight at Portland's Lewis & Clark College. 

Miller, one of several Brooks Beasts competing on Saturday, ran a time of 1:14.08, which made him the 10th-fastest performer of all-time for the 600 meters outdoors. 

Miller's season is not done as he is qualified for the Worltd Athletics Ultimate Championships, an event that debuts Sept. 11-13 in Budapest, Hungary. 

Fellow Brooks Beasts Brannon Kidder and Max Davies finished 1-2 in the men's 1,500 meters. Kidder ran a personal best time of 3:33.47 for the win. 

Valerie Tobias, also of Brooks Beasts, won the women's 800 meters in 1:59.83. 

Adidas athletes Brynne Sumner ran 2:01.77 for second place and Michaela Rose was third in 2:02.07. 

Christina Aragon of Nike Oregon Track Club ran a personal best 2:02.81 for fourth. 

Carmen Alder, a new member of the Nike Swoosh TC, won the women's 1,500 meters in 4:06.40. MS Antika from India was second in a personal best 4:06.75. She was two seconds shy of the Indian national record. 

Sam Whitmarsh of Brooks Beasts won the men's 800 meters in 1:47.74.

Emma Gee won the women's 3,000-meter steeplehase in 9:56.82.
