* A note about methodology I originally contemplated a top 10 to 20 by grade, but since we only have a solid popoulation of marks over the "California Elite" cutoffs, I wouldn't be able to do the lower grades justice. For that reason (and time constraints) I only went five deep. Though I made every effort to get all marks, I would not be surprised if someone was overlooked, particularly if that mark was achieved in a smaller meet. For that I apologize in advance. Top performances were gathered from results submitted to the DyeStat's TFX Database. The top performer plus the next four in the grade were provided. In the case of ties, additional performers were shown. Wind speeds weren't considered except in the case where a wind-aided time beats out a wind legal time (knocks it off the list) with only a marginally better mark. In those cases I showed more than 5 total performances. The rankings were done purely based on "best PR", and did not take in such factors as consistency, event diversity, or championship performances. There are many many more great performances I wish I could have covered here, but I hope this does a good job of highlighting some of the top grade-level stars in our amazing state. Enjoy! More news
