I'd love to see how those St Joseph notre dame boys would do... They might be division 5 and might not even win but they are proving to be one of the best small schools in a while

It's sad not to see Burbank in there! Just last week we were ranked 7th. Now we didn't even make state.

I hear you, but Burbank had a great run and they should be proud! Missing state from the toughest section and division, and still placing 9th is pretty darn good - and 78:22 is still a very good team time!

Madera South at 5? Where do you think they'll finish Saturday? I really like they're chances of winning. The issue they have is now that Warren beat Arcadia, Warren will be riding that high and Arcadia will be pumped for revenge. Had Arcadia won last Saturday, I'd say Madera South was the favorite. Now I'm not so sure.

I have to tell you that I agonized over that! Arcadia and Madera South had separated themselves for much of the season, but the gap has closed significantly among those top 6 or so teams - it's a multi-horse race now. These ranking put heavy weight on the section finals, and Madera South didn't have quite the competition the SS team had (though they couldn't take Clovis North lightly).

So yes, I see them at #5 based on performances to date, but I also see them as a title contender.
